LAPAN-A2 (also Indonesia-OSCAR 86 or IO-86 ) is a microsatellite from the Indonesian aerospace authority LAPAN .

The tasks of LAPAN-A2 are earth observation using two cameras with a resolution of around 5 meters, ship traffic monitoring using the forwarding of AIS signals, technology testing of a reaction wheel and amateur radio .

It was launched on September 28, 2015 with a PSLV launcher at the Satish Dhawan Space Center in India .

Its COSPAR designation is 2015-052B, after a successful start it was assigned the OSCAR number 86.

Due to the low orbit inclination of only 6 °, the satellite cannot be received further than 32 ° north or south latitude.
