OSCAR 36

OSCAR 36 is a British amateur radio satellite that was built at the University of Surrey .

The satellite was launched on April 21, 1999 with a Dnepr rocket in the Baikonur spaceport . After the successful launch, the satellite previously known as UoSAT-12 was assigned the OSCAR number 36.

The satellite is equipped with two cameras and a bulletin board, which enabled Internet traffic in a partial route . Its COSPAR designation is 1999-021A.
