Friedrich Theodor Sponholz

Friedrich Theodor Sponholz (born March 10, 1788 in Tornow , † 1862 in Rühlow ) was a German teacher and Protestant clergyman.

Life

Christian Friedrich Ludwig Theodor Sponholz attended school in Neustrelitz and the Cölln high school in Berlin . From 1806 to 1809 he studied in Halle and Frankfurt (Oder) . Then Sponholz became deputy rector in Neubrandenburg . From 1820 to 1861 he was pastor of the Rühlow parish . From 1832 to 1838 he was also director of the seminar for knightly school teachers in Neustrelitz. He was an active member of the Entomological Association in Stettin and the owner of extensive collections of butterflies, minerals and fossils.
