Friedrich Wilhelm Bollinger
Friedrich Wilhelm Bollinger (born February 6, 1777 in Berlin ; † January 20, 1825 there ) was a German engraver and professor in Berlin.
Bollinger studied at the Royal Prussian Academy of Arts in Berlin and later became a professor there. He engraved around 150 portraits of famous people, for which he often used templates from other artists. His most famous works include copper engraved portraits of Martin Luther , Johannes Bugenhagen , the King of Saxony and Ernst Florens Friedrich Chladni . The latter appeared as the title page of his work Akustik , 1802.
