Friedrich Wilhelm Neumann (Slavist)
Friedrich Wilhelm Neumann (born December 13, 1899 in Saint Petersburg , † 1979 in Mainz ) was a German Slavist .
He received his doctorate in 1925 and was an assistant in Leipzig in 1926, and a lecturer at the University of Königsberg in 1933. In 1936 he completed his habilitation and in 1937 was a lecturer at the University of Greifswald , from 1945 in Hamburg, there in 1955 associate professor and in 1957 full professor at the University of Mainz .
