Friedrich Wilhelm von Koenen

Friedrich Wilhelm von Koenen (* before 1663 ; † August 25, 1720 ) was a royal Prussian colonel , chief of infantry regiment No. 15 and Baron von Zegenwerp (Segenwerph).

His family comes from the Duchy of Kleve . His parents were Jan von Koenen and Agnes Gertrud Judith von Bylandt, daughter of Arnold Adriaan van Bylandt (1602–1663) and Agnes Anna von Kettler († 1668).

In 1692 he was already serving in Brandenburg . He fought with Regiment No. 15 Lottum in all battles of the War of the Spanish Succession . In 1703 he was promoted to major . His performance must have been very good, because on October 27, 1705 he was appointed lieutenant colonel and on December 6, 1709 as colonel . In 1718 he became chief of regiment 15, died on August 25, 1720.

He was married to Louise Katharina Friederike Charlotte von Bylandt-Rheydt from 1715 . From this marriage there were a son and three daughters. The widow married Lieutenant General Georg Christoph von Kreytzen in 1731 .
