Friedrich Wolfgang Karl Thudichum , from 1877 von Thudichum , (born November 18, 1831 in Büdingen ; † March 17, 1913 in Bad Wildbad ) was a German legal scholar in Tübingen.

Life

Thudichum was the son of the Sophocles translator and grammar school director Georg Thudichum (1794–1873) of the Wolfgang Ernst grammar school in Büdingen. He studied from 1849 to 1852 at the Hessian Ludwigs University of Law and was in the Corps Hassia Giessen active. In the spring of 1852 he passed the first state examination in law, and the second state examination in the fall of 1854. In 1855 he traveled to England and France to study and then entered the judicial service in Hesse. On August 19, 1857, he graduated as Dr. iur. utr. at the University of Giessen. On February 20, 1858 he completed his habilitation in Giessen as a private lecturer. 1862 it convened the University of Tübingen as associate professor . From May 20, 1870 to December 10, 1900 he was full professor . For the academic year 1880/81 he was elected rector . After 30 years of service, he retired in 1901 . His brother Ludwig Thudichum (1829–1901) founded neurochemistry .
