Reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017
As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the Arrondissement Foix became the area of the 21 municipalities of Bélesta , Bénaix , Carla-de-Roquefort , Dreuilhe , Fougax-et-Barrineuf , Ilhat , L'Aiguillon , Lavelanet , Lesparrou , Leychert , Lieurac , Montferrier , Montségur , Nalzen , Péreille , Raissac , Roquefixade , Roquefort-les-Cascades , Saint-Jean-d'Aigues-Vives , Sautel and Villeneuve-d'Olmes, the Arrondissement of Pamiers and the area of the 13 communes of Aigues-Juntes , Allières , Alzen , Cadarcet , Durban-sur-Arize , La Bastide-de-Sérou , Larbont , Montagagne , Montels , Montseron , Nescus , Sentenac-de-Sérou and Suzan are assigned to the Arrondissement of Saint-Girons .
Instead , the area of the 18 municipalities of Artix , Calzan , Cazaux , Coussa , Crampagna , Dalou , Gudas , Loubens , Malléon , Montégut-Plantaurel , Rieux-de-Pelleport , Saint-Bauzeil , Saint-Félix-de-Rieutord , Ségura , Varilhes changed , Ventenac , Verniolle and Vira from Arrondissement Pamiers to Arrondissement Foix.
