Ganac is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 718 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region ; it belongs to the Arrondissement Foix and the canton Foix (until 2015: canton Foix-Rural ). The inhabitants are called Ganacois .

Ganac is about 74 kilometers south of Toulouse . Ganac is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Pierre-de-Rivière in the north, Foix in the northeast, Ferrières-sur-Ariège in the east, Prayols in the east and southeast, Montoulieu in the southeast, Saurat in the south and southwest and Brassac in the west.
