Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat ( Occitan Sent Pau de Jarrat ) is a place and a municipality in the south of France with 1,313 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ); it belongs to the Arrondissement Foix and the canton Sabarthès (until 2015: canton Foix-Rural ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Paulois .

Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat is located about 21 kilometers south-south-east of Pamiers and about six kilometers south-east of Foix on the Ariège river , which borders the municipality in the north-west. Saint-Paul-de-Jarrat is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Montgaillard and Soula in the north, Celles in the east and north-east, Freychenet in the east and south-east, Cazenave-Serres-et-Allens in the south, Mercus-Garrabet in the west and south-west and Montoulieu in the West.
The former route nationale 117 (today's D117) runs through the municipality .
