Siguer ( identical in Occitan ) is a French commune with 98 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region (before 2016: Midi-Pyrénées ). The municipality belongs to the Arrondissement Foix and the canton Sabarthès (until 2015: canton Vicdessos ). The residents call themselves Siguerois .
geography
Siguer is located about 31 kilometers south-southwest of Foix in the Pyrénées Ariégeoises Regional Nature Park on the Siguer River . Siguer is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Capoulet-et-Junac in the north and northeast, Ganac in the north and northeast, Gestiès in the east, El Serrat (Spain) in the south, Lercoul in the west and Illier-et-Laramade in the west and northwest.
