As a result of the reorganization of the arrondissements in 2017, the Arrondissement Foix became the area of the 21 municipalities of Bélesta , Bénaix , Carla-de-Roquefort , Dreuilhe , Fougax-et-Barrineuf , Ilhat , L'Aiguillon , Lavelanet , Lesparrou , Leychert , Lieurac , Montferrier , Montségur , Nalzen , Péreille , Raissac , Roquefixade , Roquefort-les-Cascades , Saint-Jean-d'Aigues-Vives , Sautel and Villeneuve-d'Olmes in the Pamiers arrondissement and the area of the 27 municipalities of Artigat , Camarade , Campagne- sur-Arize , Carla-Bayle , Castéras , Castex , Daumazan-sur-Arize , Durfort , Fornex , Gabre , La Bastide-de-Besplas , Lanoux , Le Fossat , Le Mas-d'Azil , Les Bordes-sur-Arize , Assigned to the Arrondissement of Saint-Girons , Lézat-sur-Lèze , Loubaut , Méras , Monesple , Montfa , Pailhès , Sabarat , Sainte-Suzanne , Saint-Ybars , Sieuras , Thouars-sur-Arize and Villeneuve-du-Latou .
