Villeneuve-du-Paréage ( Occitan Vilanòva del Pariatge ) is a French commune with 765 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region (before 2016 Midi-Pyrénées ). It belongs to the canton of Portes d'Ariège (until 2015 Pamiers-Est ) and the Arrondissement of Pamiers . The inhabitants are called Villeneuvois .

Villeneuve-du-Paréage is located about 47 kilometers south-southeast of Toulouse . Neighboring communities of Villeneuve-du-Paréage are Montaut in the north and east, Pamiers in the south and west and Unzent in the west. The municipality is crossed by the Crieu River.
history
The Bastide was in 1308 by Philip IV. The Fair at the instigation of a Paragiats with Pope Clement V established.
