Saint-Jean-du-Falga ( Occitan Sant Joan del Falgar ) is a French commune with 2,934 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitania region . Saint-Jean-du-Falga belongs to the Pamiers arrondissement and the Pamiers-1 canton (until 2015: Pamiers-Ouest canton ). The inhabitants are called Saint-Jeantais .

Saint-Jean-du-Falga is located on the Ariège river on the edge of the Pyrenees . Saint-Jean-du-Falga is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Pamiers in the north, Verniolle in the east, Varilhes in the south and south-east, Rieux-de-Pelleport in the south-west and Benagues in the west and south-west.
