Crucifix in Sinsat

Sinsat is a village and a former French commune with 112 (as of January 1, 2017) in the Ariège department in the Occitanie region . It belonged to the Arrondissement Foix and the canton Haute-Ariège .

With effect from January 1, 2019, the former municipalities of Sinsat and Aulos were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Aulos-Sinsat and have the status of a Commune déléguée in the new municipality . The administrative seat is in Sinsat.

Neighboring towns are Ornolac-Ussat-les-Bains in the north, Verdun in the east, Aulos in the southeast, Larcat in the south and Bouan in the west.
