Friedrich von Britzke († March 26, 1515 ) was provost of the Brandenburg Cathedral .

Live and act

Friedrich von Britzke came from Berlin . In 1477 he was a student in Leipzig . In 1496 he was described as dean of the cathedral chapter Lebus . Friedrich von Britzke was the Brandenburg Cathedral on July 4, 1506 the first provost of the transmutation of the Cathedral Chapter secular one. In 1507 life together in the Premonstratensian Convention was given up. Only on June 16, 1508, Friedrich von Britzke was confirmed in office by Pope Julius II .

Friedrich von Britzke was buried in the cathedral after his death. His grave slab was later placed on the south wall of the transept . The relief plate is relatively worn, shows Friedrich in regalia with a chalice . The family coat of arms of the von Britzke family is also shown.
