from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Friedrich von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (born February 13, 1727 in Grave ; † November 13, 1777 in Barchfeld ) from the House of Hesse was Landgrave of the Paragium of Hesse-Philippsthal-Barchfeld .

Life

Friedrich was a son of Landgrave Wilhelm von Hessen-Philippsthal-Barchfeld (1692–1761) from his marriage to Charlotte Wilhelmine (1704–1766), daughter of Prince Lebrecht von Anhalt-Bernburg-Hoym . Since his first-born brother Wilhelm had already died when Friedrich was born, Friedrich immediately became the Hereditary Prince and thus a potential successor to his father. Then his upbringing and training was based on this. After his father's death in 1761, Hereditary Prince Friedrich succeeded him as Landgrave.

marriage

Friedrich did not marry Countess Sophie Henriette zu Salm-Grumbach (1740–1800) until 1772; the marriage remained childless.
