The house at Friedrichstraße 77 is a listed residential building in the Hasserode district of Wernigerode , Harz district , in Saxony-Anhalt , which is now also used as a doctor's practice.

The Friedrichstrasse 77 building is located on the southeast side of Friedrichstrasse , which runs through Hasserode , not far from the confluence with Frankenfeldstrasse.
Architecture and history
It is a two-story house in a simple, functional half-timbered style. This also includes a courtyard with former stables and a garden that extends towards the tracks of the Harzquerbahn . The original house entrance is on the street side, while a side entrance is used for the doctor's office.
The house was built in 1767/1768 as a colonist house in what was then Friedrichsthal on Langen Strasse. The first owner was the gardener Johann Conrad Brecht, who owned an official field near Brecht's garden. The neighboring house No. 65 (today Friedrichstrasse 78) was then owned by grenadier Chr. Gottfried Frankenfeld.
Almost 100 years later - in 1861 - the house, which at that time had the location list number 64, was owned by the 48-year-old gardener Heinrich Frankenfeld, who with his two sons Carl (18 years old) and Wilhelm (13 years old) and their daughter Wilhelmine (7 yrs) lived in this house. The master shoemaker Wilhelm Zeyher and his wife and 61-year-old Johanne Etterwindt lived in the building as sub-tenants.
The neighboring building (today Friedrichstraße 78) was also owned by the Frankenfelds in 1861, but by another representative of this extensive family, namely the gardener Friedrich Frankenfeld and his family.
In 1875 the gardener Heinrich Frankenfeld is still in possession of the building at Lange Straße 64 and the aforementioned Friedrich Frankenfeld is in possession of No. 65.
In the local monument register , the house is listed as a monument under registration number 094 03327 in the Friedrichstraße monument area.
