Friesendorf is the smallest district of the Upper Franconian community of Ebersdorf near Coburg .

Friesendorf is located directly on the A73 near the Füllbachtal bridge .

In 1139 Friesendorf was first mentioned as Frisindorf . At that time the Banz monastery acquired four small farms . Later expanded into a manor, the place was owned by Wolframs von Friesendorf. Other village lords were the lords of Coburg and from 1414 to 1620 the lords of Schaumberg .

On January 1, 1965, Friesendorf was incorporated into the municipality of Ebersdorf. At that time Friesendorf had 174 inhabitants and 13 farms.
