The Friis-Baastadnuten is a 2040 m high mountain peak in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It is one of the ice-free peaks on the south side of the Frostlendet valley and rises 1.5 km southeast of the Mana in the Borg massif .
Norwegian cartographers carried out a mapping based on aerial photographs and surveys of the Norwegian-British-Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1949–1952). It is named after Kåre Friis-Baastad (* 1913), a member of the Norwegian aviation unit on this research trip.
