Fritz Gerlich Film Prize
The Fritz Gerlich Film Prize has been awarded annually since 2012 at the Munich Film Festival to a work in contemporary feature and documentary film. The prize was donated by TELLUX-Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH in Munich and is endowed with 10,000 euros. Works that campaign for human dignity and against all forms of totalitarian abuse of power, persecution and humiliation are nominated.
Namesake
It is named after the Munich journalist Fritz Gerlich . Gerlich was the editor of the magazine “ The Straight Path ” and, as a Catholic Christian, was a declared opponent of National Socialism . He was murdered in 1934 at the age of 51 in Dachau concentration camp .

Transmedia Prize
Since 2014, the Transmedia Prize for cross-media or trans -media formats has been awarded annually at the same time as the Fritz Gerlich Film Prize.
