Fritz Bauer (politician, 1923)

Fritz Bauer (born August 10, 1923 in Tübingen , † April 2, 1975 in Radolfzell ) was a German SPD politician .

Life and work

After completing his apprenticeship and working in industry, Bauer studied at the Academy of Labor . Then he worked as a trade unionist in Pforzheim. He was chairman of IG Metall and the DGB Pforzheim and from 1950 local councilor. In 1972 he was elected as a member of the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg . He was considered a "committed advocate for agriculture". On April 2, 1975, he died unexpectedly while taking a spa stay in Radolfzell .

Reinhard Mürle moved up on April 15, 1975 for the deceased in the state parliament.

Honors

In July 1974 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon.
