Fritz Bennhold

Fritz Bennhold (born April 22, 1865 in Görlitz , Province of Silesia , † January 6, 1949 in Halle (Westphalia) ) was a German administrative lawyer and mining official .

Life

He was the son of the Privy Councilor of Justice and Higher Regional Court Councilor Bennhold and his wife, née Hertzberg. After attending the Elisabeth Gymnasium in Breslau, he studied law at the university there. From 1883 he worked as a court trainee in Silesia and was promoted to court assistant in 1891. From 1892 to 1893 he was a laborer at the Wroclaw Mining Authority. As such, he moved to the Oberbergamt Dortmund. There he was appointed Oberbergrat in 1899. He stayed in Dortmund until 1907 when he accepted a call to the Halle / Saale mining office. In 1911 Fritz Bennhold became a lecturer in the Ministry of Trade and Industry in Berlin. From 1914 to 1915 he took part in the First World War as a captain in the Landwehr and in 1916 he became the secret upper mountain ridge. In 1921 he briefly took over the Oberbergamt Halle / Saale as mining captain, resigning from this position after he had been offered the management of the Reich Coal Council in the Weimar Republic . During this time he became a member of the supervisory board of Hibernia, the mining company Recklinghausen and Preussag .
