Fritz Gerathewohl

Fritz Gerathewohl (born January 31, 1896 ; † 1956 ) was a German speech educator .

Life

During his studies in Munich, Gerathewohl belonged to the group of students of Artur Kutscher , the founder of theater studies . Under him he played in Hans Johst's play The Lonely Man . In 1919 he was a co-founder of the DDP in Bavaria. In the 1920s he wrote radio plays for radio and gave lectures on the medium. Then in 1930 he became a lecturer and speaker trainer at the University of Munich and also got the title of professor. In 1933 he joined the SA , but was expelled in 1938 for lack of activity. In 1934 he was Reich clerk for this department at the Nazi teachers' union . After 1945 he headed the CSU's speaking service . He has written numerous handbooks on rhetoric and speech training for both political and economic purposes. From 1950 he was a member of the German Committee for Speech Studies and Speech Training, chaired by Helmut de Boor and Paul Diels, responsible for processing the binding stage debate , which was published for a long time through the " Siebs ".
