Fritz Held (born May 1, 1901 in Lemgo ; † August 15, 1968 there ) was a German politician ( FDP ). He belonged to the German Bundestag from September 13, 1954, when he replaced the retired MP Friedrich Middelhauve , until 1957.

Life

After finishing school, Held trained as a baker in his father's company. After he had passed the master craftsman's examination, he took over his father's bakery. In 1943 he was sent to the Second World War, but released from service a year later for health reasons. After the war he became the chairman of the local craftsmen's association in Lemgo and also vice-president of the Chamber of Crafts in Detmold .

politics

Held joined the FDP in 1945. Five years later he became district chairman and then a councilor in Lemgo. He was later elected to the district council. In the federal election in 1953 he ran on the FDP state list of North Rhine-Westphalia, but could not win a parliamentary mandate. Only after MP Friedrich Middelhauve resigned his seat in the Bundestag in September 1954, who was Minister of Economics in North Rhine-Westphalia and thus justified his resignation from the Bundestag, did Held move into the Federal Parliament. Held was a full member of the Petitions Committee, the Committee for Special Issues of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and also the Working Committee. In the federal election in 1957, Held left parliament.
