Fritz Kübert (born December 8, 1939 in Frankfurt am Main , † September 1, 1997 ) was a German football player . During his career he was only active for his hometown club Eintracht Frankfurt .
Career
Kübert began playing football in 1952 in the youth of his home club Eintracht Frankfurt. In 1958 he rose from the U-18 youth to the amateur team of Eintracht and was added to the squad for the Oberliga Süd for the 1960/61 season as a "supplementary player" . Kübert was not used in the Oberliga, but was used in three games for the South German Cup: Against VfB Friedberg (6: 0), Hünstelder SV (6: 0) and on March 25, 1961 in a 4: 0- Home win against 1. FC Pforzheim from the 2. League South. Before goalkeeper Egon Loy , he and Hermann Höfer formed the defender couple.
In the first season of the newly founded Bundesliga in 1963, he was in the Eintracht squad, but was not used. But he belonged to the travel company in June / July 1964 of Eintracht, which carried out a two-week trip to South Africa with six friendly games at the end of the round in 1963/64. In the 1964/65 season , the second Bundesliga season, he made his Bundesliga debut with Eintracht on September 19, 1964, the 5th matchday, in the 7-0 home defeat against Karlsruher SC . He slipped into the team against KSC at short notice due to an injury from Höfer's final training session as a left defender. With Loy, Richard Weber , Peter Blusch , Ludwig Landerer and Dieter Lindner , he formed the defensive. According to the Bundesliga chronicle 1964/65 , Kübert was "performed according to the rules of the art" by KSC right winger Hans Cieslarczyk . But it wasn't just Kübert's problems that led to chaos on the Eintracht defensive that day, Stopper Landerer's fibula fracture from the 5th minute and his retirement afterwards also played a part in the 7-0 debacle. Kübert was no longer used and ended his high-class career with one appearance in the Bundesliga and four in the SFV Cup in the summer of 1965.
Fritz Kübert was the son of Fritz Kübert I (born February 16, 1906), the former player in the 1920s, chairman of the game committee, youth leader and later an honorary member of Eintracht.
