Fritz Lossau

Fritz Lossau (born July 25, 1897 in Hanover , † May 17, 1987 in Hemmingen ) was a German politician (KPD / SPD). He was a member of the Prussian Landtag and, after the Second World War , of the Hanoverian Landtag .

Life

Lossau attended elementary school and then did an apprenticeship as a laboratory assistant. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War and returned seriously wounded. After his return, Lossau worked as a chemical engineer. He had joined the KPD in 1920 and from 1924 worked as a full-time secretary of the KPD. He was also a city councilor in Hanover from 1924 and from 1924 to 1928 he was a member of the Prussian state parliament. He was involved with the syndicalists and the AAU , but withdrew there before 1933. During the Nazi era, he was under police control between 1933 and 1945 because of his illegal political work. After the Second World War, from May 1945 he was initially provisional and then properly elected chairman of the SKAG works council. Later Lossau was also a full-time employee of the Reich Association of War Disabled and Survivors . He joined the SPD and was nevertheless from December 1945 a representative of the KPD in the local council in Rethen . From January 1946 he belonged to the district council of the district of Hanover and from 23 August to 29 October 1946 he was a member of the appointed Hanover state parliament.
