Fritz Räcke
Fritz Räcke (* 1882 in Magdeburg ; † 1952 in Hürth ) was the first full-time mayor in Hürth after the Second World War .
Life
After Räcke was initially appointed police commissioner of the mayor's offices of Hürth and Efferen in 1917, he was appointed full-time first alderman of the municipality of Hürth three years later as the successor to Werner Disse , who was elected mayor . Both were arrested and released in March 1933 by the then ruling National Socialists . In 1945 he was appointed by the occupying powers as the first full-time mayor and, after the introduction of dual leadership , changed to the position of the first post-war community director until August 31, 1946 .
His successor for a short time (until his own retirement on January 26, 1947) was Albert Lüttgenau, head of the building department for many years . Fritz Räcke died in 1952. The family grave in the old cemetery in Hermülheim was added to the list of monuments . His son Otto Räcke was also the community director in Hürth from 1953 to 1973.

On May 22, 1978 the city council of Hürth decided to name a street after him.
