Fritz Rauh (theologian)

Fritz Rauh (born February 21, 1927 in Munich ; † April 18, 1998 ) was a German Roman Catholic theologian and priest.

Life

He studied philosophy and theology (diploma) at the PTH Freising . In 1954, at the chair of Karl von Frisch from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich, he was awarded a Dr. rer. nat. PhD . After ordination and habilitation in 1968 in Catholic theology, he taught from 1968 to 1971 in Munich as a private lecturer with a focus on moral theology and moral psychology.

From 1971 he taught at the chair for border issues in theology and the natural sciences at the Catholic Theological Faculty of the University of Augsburg (1981/1982 dean ). In 1984 he married Charlotte Hörgl († 1993). Because of the marriage he moved to a chair for border issues between natural sciences and ethics at the mathematics and natural sciences faculty of the University of Augsburg. In 1995 he retired . He was buried on April 24, 1998 in the Nymphenburg cemetery .
