Fritz Saacke

Fritz Saacke (born February 1, 1926 in Bomsdorf ; † February 27, 2017 ) was a Lower Saxony politician ( CDU ) and from 1974 to 1990 a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament .

education and profession

Fritz Saacke was born in Bomsdorf near Magdeburg . He attended elementary school and high school, where he spent a large part of his youth in Berlin . He then did military service and was taken prisoner of war.

In 1946 Saacke moved to Kirchohsen . From 1946 to 1947 he did an agricultural apprenticeship and took over the farm of his great-uncle in Kirchohsen (Emmerthal). He was a member of the supervisory board of Elektrizitätswerke Wesertal GmbH in Hameln and an advisory guest member in the shareholders' committee of Pfeifer & Langen KG , Cologne . From 1967 to 1977 he was a member of the management board and from 1977 to 1986 the supervisory board of Lippe-Weser-Zucker AG, which was acquired in 1986 by Pfeifer & Langen KG. From May 22, 1986 to April 30, 1992 he was chairman of the beet growers' association in the Lippe-Weser area.

Fritz Saacke was married until his death and had two children.

politics

Fritz Saacke had been councilor since 1956 and mayor of the Kirchohsen community since 1968 and of the Emmerthal community from 1973 to 1986. From 1960 to 1986 he was a member of the district council and from 1973 to 1986 district administrator of the Hameln-Pyrmont district . During this time he succeeded in setting up the Institute for Solar Energy Research in Ohr .

In the 8th to 11th electoral term, he was a member of the Lower Saxony state parliament from June 21, 1974 to June 20, 1990.

Honors

In 1981 Saacke was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit, First Class , and in 1986, the Lower Saxony Cross of Merit, First Class .
