Fritz Siemens

Fritz Siemens (born February 4, 1849 in Lauenburg in Pomerania , † May 20, 1935 ) was a German doctor.

Life

Siemens studied medicine from 1867 to 1873 at the Royal University of Greifswald and the Philipps University of Marburg . Since 1867 member of the Corps Pomerania , in 1870 he was chairman of the oKC in Kösen . As a soldier and field assistant doctor he took part in the Franco-German War . In 1874 he was promoted to Dr. med. PhD . In 1874/75 he was an assistant doctor at the Medical University Clinic in Marburg under Emil Mannkopff . In 1876 he moved to the state mental hospital and the psychiatric university clinic in Marburg as a second doctor. In 1883 he was appointed director of the Pomeranian Provincial Insane Asylum in Ueckermünde (today's AMEOS Clinic Ueckermünde ). Four years later, he moved to the Lauenburg Provincial Sanatorium, which was built according to his proposals, in the same position . In 1886 he was appointed Medical Assessor, in 1887 Medical Councilor and member of the Medical College of Pomerania . In 1898 he became a secret medical councilor .
