Fritz Stückrath

Fritz Stückrath (born May 2, 1902 in Hamburg , † January 7, 1974 in Hamburg) was a German educationalist and psychologist.

After attending elementary school and the teachers' seminar until 1923, he passed the second teacher examination in 1926. He then studied educational science, psychology and mathematics and received his doctorate in 1929. phil. He became an assistant at the educational science seminar at the University of Hamburg . In November 1933 he signed the German professors' confession of Adolf Hitler . From 1936 he worked as a lecturer at the college for teacher training . In World War II he served from 1939 to 1945 and was taken prisoner.

After his return, he taught as a lecturer and later professor at the University of Education in Kiel from 1946 to 1947, and from 1948 as director of studies at the Pedagogical Institute of the University of Hamburg, where he also took on a teaching position for educational psychology .

Stückrath has made a name for himself primarily as a child psychologist .
