Fritz Wempner (born November 11, 1910 in Flensburg ; † December 24, 1994 ibid) was a German actor and playwright and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon .

Life

The trained businessman Wempner joined the Low German stage of the city of Flensburg in 1936 . Since the mid-fifties he had success with his plays far beyond the Low German region. His plays were not only performed by the Hamburg Ohnsorg Theater from 1952 , for example under the direction of Heini Kaufeld in 1966 : Keen Utkamen with dat Inkamen (No getting along with income) with Otto Lüthje , but also in High German and English versions numerous other theaters. Among his best-known pieces are Petrus gifft Urlaub , De vergnögte Gasstation and Rund um Kap Hoorn .

Fritz Wempner had worked with the actress, director and playwright Irmgard Wempner , born in 1954 . Gäthje married. Together they had three daughters and one son. He was awarded the Schleswig-Holstein Medal .

Film adaptations

His play Keen Utkamen with dat Inkamen was published in 1957 under the title No Getting along with Income! filmed.

In his hometown of Flensburg, a place at the city ​​theater below the Museumberg was named after him.
