action

Klaus Jäger feels more and more misunderstood by his father, the juice manufacturer Helmut Jäger. One day the widowed man wants to introduce his new love, Gerry Franzen, and their daughter Lisa to his son. Klaus finally bursts the collar. Although the housekeeper Lina only utters benevolent words about Ms. Franzen, Klaus renounces the acquaintance of the alleged inheritance sneak and her daughter. Without further ado he took a job as a truck driver with the haulier Braunkohl and rented a furnished room from the Bodendiek couple.

Little does Klaus suspect that August and Ida Bodendiek are improving their pension in a particularly original way. Since Klaus works at night, the quirky couple rented the room at the same time to Lisa Franzen, who works all day as the chief secretary of the industrialist Mr. Bollmann. Meanwhile, Helmut Jäger and Gerry Franzen have married without their children being present. It doesn't take long before Klaus meets the attractive Lisa on the way to work. Without knowing that they are step-siblings and sharing the room, the two enjoy each other.

To protect herself from her pushy boss and his jealous wife, Lisa wears a fake wedding ring in the office. So it happens that Lisa is invited to Bollmann's summer night ball with her non-existent husband. During his work, Klaus prevents a delivery of rotten oranges to his father. This promptly causes his son to be fired. August and Ida Bodendiek can no longer prevent Klaus and Lisa from meeting in the apartment. Finally, Mrs. Bollmann appears there, who wants to take Lisa to the summer night ball. Before he knows it, Klaus is declared to be Lisa's husband by the chatty boss and taken away. At the evening party, Klaus and Lisa find out that they have fallen in love with each other.

The next morning, Helmut Jäger and Gerry Franzen find out that their children have the same address. There they explain to Klaus and Lisa, who are still completely overtaken, about their family relationship. After a brief argument about Klaus' initial prejudices, everyone involved comes to a happy end.
