Fritz von Benesch

Fritz von Benesch (born September 29, 1894 in Graz , † August 31 or September 1, 1916 missing in Russia ) was an Austrian geology student .

Von Benesch studied geology and palaeontology from 1912 to 1914, first at the University of Graz , then at the University of Vienna . He described a land mollusc fauna from the Miocene . Before completing his studies, Benesch was drafted during the First World War in 1914 and fell in 1916.
