The Frontier Mountain (English for Grenzberg ) is a 2805 m high and mostly ice-free mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 32 km south-southeast of Roberts Butte in the group of the Outback Nunatakker and 17.5 km west-northwest of the Sequence Hills .
The northern group of the New Zealand Geological Survey Antarctic Expedition's campaign, which lasted from 1962 to 1963, named it after its geographical location on the edge of the polar plateau .
