The Roberts Butte is a striking and 2830 m high inliers and outliers with flattened peaks in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . This mountain, visible from afar, rises 3 km northwest of Miller Butte in the group of the Outback Nunatakker .
It was discovered by an American team exploring the Victoria Land between 1959 and 1960. Louis J. Roberts, geodesist of the United States Geological Survey and member of this team, named it Flattop Mountain . The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after Roberts himself in 1964.
