Gerry Bamman (born September 18, 1941 in Independence , Kansas ) is an American actor .

life and career

In the 1970s and 1980s, Bamman was a stage actor in several productions on Broadway . From the mid-1980s he regularly took on minor supporting roles in film and television, including in The Secret of My Success (1987) with Michael J. Fox or Pink Cadillac (1989) with Clint Eastwood . In the course of his career he mainly played authority figures such as mayors, police officers, doctors and lawyers. The actor had his best-known role as sarcastic uncle Frank McCallister in the popular comedies Kevin - Alone at Home (1990) and Kevin - Alone in New York (1992). Bamman took on other supporting roles in Lorenzo's Oil and Bodyguard , both of which were created in 1992. In the television series Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit , he took on the role of defense lawyer Stan Gillium in several episodes.

To date, Gerry Bamman has worked on almost 70 film and television productions. From his divorced marriage to director and screenwriter Emily Mann, he has a son named Nicholas.
