Soccer team
A soccer team is a team that practices the sport of soccer . A soccer team consists of a goalkeeper and 10 field players (11 players in total). A player is also the captain ( Team Captain , or simply captain ). For youth football teams (up to D-youth) and women's teams there are also teams of 7 (1 goalkeeper + 6 field players). It is played across half of the normal playing field or from penalty area to penalty area on youth goals.
A fundamental distinction is made between selection teams (e.g. national teams ) and club teams . While the soccer world champion is played among the national teams, club teams play against each other in club competitions such as the Bundesliga . The games of the club are played by a football player as an employee or member of the club, the games in the national team are regarded as an honor for every player.
The term football club or football club describes the organizational structure of a club including a team, but the term is often used as a synonym and to identify a club team .

- Goalkeeper : He has to fend off shots on goal in goal.
