The OFC Nations Cup 1973 ( Engl. : OFC Nations Cup ) was the first playout of an oceanic continental championship in football and found in New Zealand from 17 to 24 February 1973 instead. All games were played at Newmarket Park in Auckland. The tournament took Fiji , New Caledonia , New Zealand , New Hebrides (now Vanuatu), Tahiti part. In the league system, everyone against everyone was played in a simple round. The two best in the group qualified for the final, the third and fourth for the game for third place.
At that time, the OFC was not yet a member of the world football association FIFA .
