Usually there was a year -and-away each as a home and away. The Munich city selection has notable successes, for example it won 4-1 for the first time on June 19, 1927, 6-1 in December 1929 and 7-1 on January 6, 1931 at home in front of 25,000 spectators (scorers: three times Köppl, each twice Haringer and Schmid). Overall, the record of the 23 games against the Berliners remained balanced with nine wins, five draws and nine defeats.

On June 18, 1939, the selection in Munich against Salzburg scored 4-0.

In some cases there were still selection games after 1945.
