Erich Kauer (born January 8, 1908 , † December 30, 1989 ) was a German football player .

Kauer belonged from 1923 to 1942 to the Berlin tennis club Borussia , for which he played as a midfielder in the championships organized by the Brandenburg Ball Game Association until 1933 . As a climber in Group A , as one of two, which was played with ten teams in a round-robin tournament with a round trip, he finished fourth with his team. After three seasons, each runner-up, his team emerged as group B winners at the end of the 1927/28 season . With the game he won 6-0 against SC Wacker 04 Tegel on December 26, 1931 , he won his second title with the Berlin Cup.

From 1933 to 1942 he played in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg , in one of initially 16, later increased to 23 Gauligen at the time of National Socialism as the uniform top division in the German Reich ; at the end of the 1940/41 season he won his third title with the Gaume Championship.

Due to the successes in 1931, 1932 and 1941, he also took part in the respective finals for the German championship and played a total of seven games; just as many as in the Tschammerpokal competition, the cup competition for club teams introduced in 1935. In this he succeeded on July 13, 1941 in the first round match in the 6-0 win over LSV Stettin with the goal to 2-0 in the 39th minute, his only goal.

National team

Kauer made five international appearances for the senior national team . He made his debut on November 2, 1930 in Wroclaw in a 1-1 draw against the Norwegian national team . In the game year 1931, three more internationals followed, all of which ended in a draw against the national team of the Netherlands , Sweden and again Norway. His last international match, which he played against the national team of Austria , was lost on September 13, 1931, 5-0 in Vienna .
