Fukuda Tokuyasu

Fukuda Tokuyasu ( Japanese 福田 篤 泰 ; born October 13, 1906 in Tokyo Prefecture ; † August 7, 1993 ibid) was a Japanese diplomat and politician ( LPJ → DLP → LPLDP , Ōno factionMurakami- → Mizuta- FactionMiki faction ).

Career

Fukuda studied at the University of Tokyo . After graduating, he joined the Japanese Foreign Service . During the Nanking massacre he was an attaché at the Japanese embassy in Nanjing . After the end of the Second World War, he switched to politics. He was elected ten times (1949, 1953-1976) for the five-seat constituency Tokyo 7 in the Japanese House of Representatives.

He was Minister of State several times: from 1959 to 1960 as head of general affairs in the Prime Minister's office , from 1963 to 1964 as head of the defense authority , from 1965 to 1966 as head of the authority for administrative supervision and the authority for the development of Hokkaidō and in 1976 as post office minister .
