Furong ( Chinese  芙蓉 區  /  芙蓉 区 , Pinyin Fúróng qū ) is a Chinese municipality in the prefecture -level city of Changsha , the capital of Hunan Province . The city district has an area of ​​42 km² and counts approx. 350,000 (2003). It lies on the lower reaches of the Xiang Jiang .
