Fusco-Nunatak is a Nunatak in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It rises in the southeasternmost extension of the Heritage Range in the Ellsworth Mountains . The Fusco Nunatak is the easternmost peak in the Wilson Nunatak chain ( erroneously listed as the westernmost nunatak in the Geographic Names Information System , the database of the United States Geological Survey ) and lies immediately west of the Hercules Inlet .
The US Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Thomas A. Fusco, an aircraft technician in the United States Navy who was a crew member on December 13, 1965 on the first flight from McMurdo Station to Plateau Station .
