Futoshi Ikeda ( Japanese 池田 太 , Ikeda Futoshi ; born October 4, 1970 in Tokyo Prefecture ) is a former Japanese football player and coach.
Career
Ikeda learned to play football on the school team at Bunan High School and the university team at Aoyama Gakuin University . He signed his first contract with Urawa Reds in 1993 . The club played in the highest league in the country, the J1 League . For the club, he completed 53 top division games. At the end of 1996 he ended his career as a football player.
Ikeda became the coach of the women's U20 junior national team in 2017 . Success was winning the 2018 U20 Women's World Cup in France.
