history

FxPro was founded in 2006 as Financial Markets of EuroOrient Securities & Financial Services Ltd in Cyprus by Denis Sukhotin. FxPro began its expansion with the opening of representative offices in Austria, France, Spain and Russia. In 2010, FxPro was granted regulation and licensing by the UK's Financial Conduct Authority (Financial Services Authority at that time) and opened its London office.

In 2010 the broker was named Forex Provider of the Year "at the Financial Times Investors Chronicle Investment Awards 2010 (FT / IC Investment Awards). In 2011 the company opened an office in Australia, but it closed and moved in March 2013 these clients to Cyprus and UK operations after new capital rules came into effect in Australia.

In 2015, FxPro went public (IPO). But a year later, in 2016, the company decided to postpone its plans because of the turmoil in world markets.

In the spring of 2017, the plans were postponed again on the background of the new hard measures FCA.

Commercial facilities

The company offers traders a choice between the MetaTrader 4 and cTrader trading platforms. Customers using MetaQuotes Software's MT4 platform also have the option of a web-based alternative and multiple mobile trading versions. The company's cTrader platform Spotware offers ECN traders a higher price tier and a volume-weighted average price (VWAP). CTrader is compatible with cAlgo, an algorithmic trading platform that allows clients to create trading robots and run them in cTrader to fully automate the trading process.

The company has been dealing with algorithmic trading for retail since 2013. It launched Quant, a web-based strategy building solution for the MT4 platform that allows users to create their own trading robots (called expert advisers) with a drag and drop interface or download them from the company's EA library. Quant, unlike cAlgo, which requires knowledge of C #, allows users to create automated strategies using technical indicators and logical operators without prior coding knowledge.

In October 2013, FxPro launched its proprietary investment platform, FxPro SuperTrader, which gives retail or institutional investors the ability to allocate funds for a range of rigorously audited and performance-based FX trading strategies.

In March 2015, the company announced support for the MetaTrader 5 platform.
