Fylkesvei 520
The Riksvei 520 is a main road ( Fylkesvei ) in the provinces of Vestland and Rogaland in Norway . It is 67.6 km long (11.8 km in Vestland and 55.8 km in Rogaland). It leads from Hordalia ( Ullensvang commune ) via Sauda commune to Ropeid in Suldal commune .
There are five tunnels on the route (length in brackets):
- Nestunnel (106 m)
- Djupevik tunnel (36 m)
- Borevik Tunnel (46 m)
- Varstadt tunnel (887 m)
- Honganvik Tunnel (1355 m)
Routing
The road begins at Hordalia, where it connects to the E 134 and Rv 13 . It rises steeply to 900 m and then leads over the Svartevatnet dam and further along the Storelva . This forms the Storlivatnet and later a narrow gorge before it flows into the Saudafjord at Sauda . There is a connection to the Rv 46 .
Winter closure
Rv 520 is usually closed from November to May from Røldal to Hellandsbygd.
