Góra Parkowa (German Parkberg ) or Stróżnia (de: guard hill ) in Sanok on the Sanok lowland is about 364 m above sea level. NN high hill, is located 500 m west of the Sanoker Ring at Mickiewiczstrasse in the Śródmieście district , in the city park, in southeastern Poland .

Guard hill means fortified hill or rising area in the urban area of Sanok . It is the medieval term for an elevated part of a settlement or town. The hill was first mentioned as Stroznia as early as 1446 . In 1852 it was called Struszyna Góra .

Opened in 1890, the Sanoker City Park on the outskirts is over 0.10 square kilometers. In 1910, on the occasion of the 100th birthday of the famous composer Frédéric Chopin , it was renamed “Chopin Park”. The city park is bordered by Mickiewicz Street in the east and Kościuszki Street in the south.

Typical Carpathian mountain species grow in the central part of the hill. B. ash , hornbeam and linden .
