Gögginger wood
The Gögginger Wäldchen is a protected landscape area on the border between the city of Augsburg ( Augsburg-Göggingen district ) and the Augsburg district . It comprises two forest areas: on the left of the Wertach the "Wäldle am Köpfle" and on the right of the Wertach, the strip of land between Wertach and the factory canal (or the site of the former Ackermann-Göggingen factory ), the "Gögginger Wäldle".
Together, the Gögginger wood covers an area of 39.79 hectares and was placed under protection on July 15, 1952 (i.e. before Göggingen was incorporated into Augsburg).
ways
The Wäldle on the Köpfle is cut through in a north-south direction by the “Wasenmeisterweg”. The “Waldstrasse” leads from the southeast into the Gögginger Wäldle. Both forests have a network of forest trails. At the northern end of the Gögginger Woods, this is crossed by the federal road 17 . The “Kulperhütte” beer garden is at the northernmost point, where it tapers to a point .
